Key features of Maxis data centres
N+1 precision air conditioning system
Our air conditioning systems are air-cooled to prevent condensation in the data centre. To maintain optimal temperature and humidity, it uses R410A refrigerant, which provides 15% more cooling capacity over standard refrigerants.
Redundant dual 11 kV power source from two different TNB substations. Power supply of 100 W/ft2, upgradable to 200W/ft2. 2N of active power distribution paths to each rack. Two groups of four 100 kVA UPSes with 10 minutes of back-up battery life.
Seven-layer physical security
Our data centre features a proactive intruder detection system with perimeter fencing, card access, CCTV, biometric verification systems and more to protect your data from threats seen and unseen.
Fire suppression system
Environment-friendly inert gas IG 55 fire suppression system with VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) and comprehensive detection monitoring system.
Carrier-neutral, with a full range of data connectivity and services and access to multiple providers to ensure full network redundancy.
Cooling systems are connected to the Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM) system, which tracks the temperature and relative humidity down to the rack. Further, upper and lower temperature thresholds are set based on each customer's needs.
UPS battery monitoring system
Each UPS features a real-time battery monitoring system that tracks the condition of individual blocks to ensure that impedance, voltage, current, and temperature of each battery is operating at peak performance.
Many elements in the data centre have been optimised to be environment friendly, including the use of LED lights and automatic lighting controls to further lower electricity consumption.
Why does certification matter?
Our data centre is Tier-III certified by the Uptime Institute, the standard bearer for digital infrastructure performance. It is the gold standard that has been used in the design and construction of data centres all over the world.
Tier I is composed of a single path for power and cooling distribution, without redundant components, providing 99.671% availability.
Tier II is composed of a single path for power and cooling distribution, with redundant components, providing 99.741% availability.
Tier III is composed of multiple active power and cooling distribution paths. However only one path is used, has redundant components and is concurrently maintainable, providing 99.985% availability.
Tier IV is composed of multiple active power and cooling distribution paths, with all having redundant components and fault tolerant, providing 99.995% availability.
