Would the quota provided be sufficient for my business?
The free quota provided is more than sufficient for average office/business use. Alternatively, you can upgrade anytime to the next higher plan and still be able to enjoy monthly savings with a higher quota.
I am not sure of my internet usage. How do I determine which package is best for my business?
Please consult your Maxis account manager. They will be able to help you find the most suitable DIA or Usage-Based Internet package based on your consumption patterns and business requirement.
I’m interested in Usage-Based Internet but I’m afraid there will be bill shock.
The free quota provided is more than enough for the average business. Even if you were to use more, you can still expect savings with our business-friendly pay-per-use rate. At the maximum, your Usage-Based Internet bill will be capped at the same price as that of the standard DIA. So you can expect to pay no more than what you would for a standard DIA package.
How do I monitor my quota usage?
You can monitor your usage on the Maxis customer portal, Maxis Business Hub. On top of that, you will receive a notification via email/SMS when your usage reaches 80% of the quota provided.
How do I know if the package proposed by Maxis is suitable for my business?
While we do our best to analyse your consumption pattern, there may still be unknown patterns. Therefore, Maxis will only charge the minimum commitment for the first 5 months of subscription, with no additional usage fee during this period. You may subscribe to a higher Usage-Based Internet package, or even switch to normal DIA, should the proposed package be insufficient for your business.
How do I upgrade my Usage-Based Internet package or switch to normal DIA?
There are two options for requesting an upgrade:
Consult your Maxis account manager or call 1919.
Through the Maxis customer portal, Maxis Business Hub.
I am an existing customer with the normal DIA. Can I change my plan to a Usage-Based Internet package?
Yes, if your existing contract has already expired.
What will happen if I exceed the free data bundle that comes with the Usage-Based Internet plan?
There will be NO interruption or degradation to the service. There will be a charge of RM2.60 per additional GB and this will be an additional charge on top of your agreed fixed monthly.
I am currently subscribed to the 10 Mbps Usage-Based Internet package but my business needs more. If I upgrade to a higher package, do I need to recontract?
We understand that you may need to upgrade as the initial calculation of your usage pattern may not be accurate. Please reach out to your Maxis account manager for assistance on package upgrades.
How long does the installation take?
Installation may take up to 8 weeks or 30 business days and depends on building management and municipal permits.
What are the benefits of subscribing to Usage-Based Internet?
The minimum contract and Usage-Based Internet package is our most affordable Dedicated Internet plan. Plus, you only need to pay for data that you use (in Bytes or GB), creating more value for your business.
Is there a minimum contract period?
Yes, the minimum contract period for Usage-Based Internet packages is 24 months.
Is there any penalty if I terminate Usage-Based Internet before the end of the contract period?
If you terminate the Agreement before the expiry of the Term, you only have to pay Maxis the fixed monthly recurring charges for the rest of the remaining month.
