Maxis Business Voice SIP (SIP Essential) is a SIP Trunk service that will connect to customer Telephony system via internet & Maxis Metro-e link. It allows you to consolidate all PRI capacity into a single SIP Trunk & provide flexibility in term of SIP Trunk channels scalability.

Can my existing business telephone numbers be used as a Maxis Business Voice SIP (SIP Essential) service?

Yes, if your existing business telephone number used is a Maxis number.

No, if your existing business telephone number used is from another operator. A new Maxis Business Voice SIP (SIP Essential) Number will be provided to you.

 

Can I get Maxis to provide us with a complete solution including equipment for Maxis Business Voice SIP (SIP Essential)?

Yes, you can. However, you will be charged separately on a case to case basis based on your actual requirements.

Can I use my existing SIP equipment’s such IP-PBX, Media Gateway, IP-Phone, etc if I choose to subscribe for the Maxis Business Voice SIP (SIP Essential)?

Yes, you can. However, your equipment must be a Maxis Shortlisted Certified equipment that has Interoperability (IOT) and is compatible with the Maxis Voice Network. If your equipment is not Maxis Shortlisted Certified, you are required sign up for a Proof of Concept (POC), at no additional charge. Please contact your respective Maxis Account Manager for further details on this.

 

What do I need to connect Maxis Business Voice SIP (SIP Essential) to my existing IP-PBX system?

You will require:

  • Maxis Network Infrastructure
  • e-SBC or Media Gateway
  • Managed Router for Managed Services (optional)
  • Minimum Bandwidth of 4 Mbps up to 30 Channels

 

What are the charges of the Bandwidth required for Maxis Business Voice SIP (SIP Essential)?

The charges of the Bandwidth of connectivity are based on the infrastructure network connectivity that you are using.

For Maxis Business Voice SIP (SIP Essential) over Biz Fibre connectivity, 4 Mbps bandwidth will be given for FREE up to 30 Channels Whereas, for Maxis Business Voice SIP (SIP Essential) over Metro-E (MPLS) connectivity, the bandwidth will be chargeable based on the number of channels subscribed.

Can I add on more channels and DIDs? What would be the charges?

Yes, you can add up to 30 channels for either Maxis Business Voice SIP (SIP Essential) over Biz Fibre or Maxis Business Voice SIP (SIP Essential) over Metro-E and DIDs.

What are the features available besides Value Added Services (VAS) in Maxis Business Voice SIP (SIP Essential)?
