What is Maxis’ service coverage for mPatrol? Can I track my assets with mPatrol Industrial all over the world?
You can track your personnel or assets with mPatrol in most parts of the world, as long as you are travelling under mPatrol’s service coverage. mPatrol works all over the world, including virtually all of North America, Europe and Australia; portions of South America, North Africa and Asia; as well as hundreds of thousands of square miles off-shore of these areas. It is important that you check mPatrol’s coverage before mounting the mPatrol device on your asset.
What do I do if I believe my asset is being stolen or hijacked?
In the event that you receive a movement alert that is unauthorised and you believe your asset is being stolen or hijacked, contact your local authorities immediately and alert them of the situation. Be prepared to supply them with the latitude and longitude of your mPatrol’s location to better assist with the recovery of your asset.
Can the mPatrol Industrial service be swapped with the Personal (and vice versa)?
No. If you wish to swap the mPatrol Industrial and Personal service, you will need to terminate the mPatrol Industrial service first before you subscribe to a new mPatrol Personal service.
Can I make or receive calls from the mPatrol device?
No, you will not be able to make or receive calls from the mPatrol device.
What is IP67 / IP68 Rating?
An IP rating, or Ingress Protection Rating, classifies the degrees of protection against both solids and liquids in electrical enclosures.
IP – 67: Dustproof and Water-resistant
