Maxis IoT Challenge 2020 continues our vision for this programme: to equip Malaysia’s most innovative thinkers to solve real-world business challenges.

We launched the inaugural challenge around NB-IoT in May 2019 to overwhelming response, and crowned Momoku, a company that aims to revolutionise indoor farming, the winner.

This year, we turn our attention to 5G and the benefits it brings, namely ultra high speeds, ultra low latency, and ultra high device connectivity support.

5G is a truly revolutionary technology that will forever change the way we work and play, and we believe we’ll see even greater innovations this year that will surpass our wildest imaginations.

Immersive retail experiences

Today's shoppers are looking for more than a transaction – they demand new experiences. What role can IoT play in enabling retailers to better engage their customers and build loyalty? How can we make the retail outlet of the future smart and efficient?

Revamping automotive operations

The car buying experience has not seen much progress in decades. Is there an opportunity for us to use IoT to redefine the pre- and post-purchase experience for new car owners? How can we modernise the showroom to deliver a more personalised experience?

Enhancing township security

As much as prospective homeowners desire modern and connected features in a home, safety and security remain a top priority. How can we use IoT to better safeguard a township, while also delivering a high standard of living for discerning residents?
