mPOS

  • The mobile application can only support one log-in session at a time.

  • No, the mobile application does not support manual transactions.

  • You can use mPOS on most Bluetooth-enabled iOS and Android devices. Unfortunately, Blackberry and Windows OS devices are not supported at the moment.

  • The user should immediately report the loss to the authorised contact person in the Merchant’s organisation to disable the device via the Maxis mPOS Merchant Portal.

  • No. Merchants will need to manually fill in a maintenance form for refund/ undercharge/overcharge transaction requests as per the current process.

  • No, it is limited to 1 mPOS device per MaxisONE Business line. The merchant can sign up for a second mPOS at the normal rate of RM42/month.

  • Appeals for a lower MDR rate can be made directly to Global Payments once you are an approved merchant. Global Payments will consider the appeal based on the actual transaction volume.

  • The mPOS application is subject to the acquirer and Global Payments’ risk policies. Beauty merchants are classified under the “high risk” category and may require further documentation.

  • Yes. Please indicate corresponding bank accounts for each of the relevant Merchant IDs and Terminal IDs in your application.

  • The settlement cut-off time is 11pm, which is prior to the Cardlink (credit card host) batch run at 11.01pm in order for the sales payment to be credited to the merchant on the next business day.

  • The transactions will be settled the next day and will be paid on the following business day.

  • Only transactions that are in the pre-settlement stage are stored in the sales history on the app.

  • Any time before the settlement is complete.

  • Yes, existing Maybank mPOS customers can upgrade to Maxis mPOS but you will have to submit a new application for a new card reader. Any early contract termination charges will still apply.

  • No, you may choose to have your funds deposited into a merchant bank account of your choice.
